The RCMP Musical Ride

We have had a few members of our family join the RCMP over the years and the latest member from our family is Brent Dobinson. This year he became a member of the Musical ride so Ellyanna and about 25 other family members headed to the Centrium back in early August to take in the show.

Brent was pulled out at the beginning of the show and introduced to the crowd as a home town boy. It was a very proud moment.

Ellyanna was mesmerized. She sat still for almost the full hour and a half we were there. Apparently she is an animal lover!

All in all the show was spectacular, the leader of this group actually said it had been their best show all summer. I hadn't seen a show since I was a kid and I thought it was amazing. Way to go Brent!

Things Ellyanna Learned this Summer

To eat blueberries like a lady!

To laugh and play nicely with others.

To Karaoke.

To pool party like it's 1999!

That's right, even when there is no water in the pool!

To relax with friends...

How to get the dirtiest face. Ellyanna was really tired eating lunch one day and kept rubbing her eyes, hence the sauce all the way up to her forhead. But, the girl still turned it on for the camera even through all the fatique!

She also learned to walk but there aren't any photo's as we got it all on video. Video montage is Nate's responsibility so it should follow soon! Watch for it.

The Westerner Days Parade

The Westerner Days in Red Deer have begun and it kicked off with the parade Wednesday morning. We took our camera but on the way there realized the battery was at home charging. So thanks to Caryn we have a couple of pictures to share with you!

And the show begins...

Ellyanna is thinking really hard about why anyone would dress up like that! (Note the girls in orange jump suits in the back ground)

She was dancing to the BIG 105 music as they went by !

And during a lull in the show she made a break for it, she wanted to be her own show. Luckily we had her walking wings on and she couldn't get too far (there was horse poo in the middle of the road, no one needs to dance in that)!

Swing Time with Kyle and Dad

We have only been at our new place a little over two weeks but Ellyanna has figured out where the park is. Since it is practically in our back yard, she stands at the back door pounding on the window until someone takes her out there. Once she gets into the yard she then proceeds to stand at the gate, hinting that she would like to go the park!
Here she is swinging with Kyle after her quick manipulations!

Visiting with Various Silers

This past Friday we were lucky enough to have 3 extra Siler's at our house, (Great) Grandma Anne, Auntie Gaie (ok she is a Goin now but once a Siler, always a Siler), and cousin Kyle.

Ellyanna had fun checking our Great Grandma, it had been a while since their last visit.

Here is Ellyanna showing us her stair climbing skills and then she stood up to wave goodbye as she was going down for a nap.

9.5 Months Old

Too cute not to post!

Good Bye "Old" House

So on June 30th, Nate, Ellyanna and I said goodbye to our first house. There was just too much to do there to make it a great place for Ellyanna to grow up in. So we moved... but here are our parting pictures of our little house on Isaacson Cres.

Pictures of the new house will follow when two things take place. 1. It doesn't look like a disaster zone 2. We find the little down loady thing for the SD card!
Did I mention how much I hate moving!
